Smugglers’ Hideaway aka "The Ski Stash" puts the essence of Vermont at your fingertips! A ski in, ski out condo tucked away at Smugglers’ Notch Resort in the northern Green Mountains–a four-season destination with outdoor adventures, mountain fun and easy access to Stowe and Burlington. Cozy up by our stone fireplace. Dine at resort restaurants. Stroll along maple lined trails. And marvel at the beauty of Vermont from our balcony. Located in the east village close to the village lift. LAUNCH PAD LOCATION This ski in, ski out condo is close to Village ski lift and mogul mouse ski school. Centrally located in the heart of the Smugglers’ Notch Resort East Village in Jeffersonville, just a 25 minute drive from the quintessential Vermont town of Stowe. And about an hour from Burlington which is nestled along Lake Champlain. From our place you can go hiking on the long trail, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and trout fishing on the Brewster and Lamoille rivers – there are even waterfalls and swimming holes framed by canopies of trees. Over at Lajoie Stables, ride a horse through the woodlands or go on a sleigh ride in winter. You can also visit maple syrup farms or swing by Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits to taste small-batch maple bourbon, crème liqueurs and wines. And for a dining experience among nature, book a farm dinner and hayride at Valley Dream Farm. All this, and we haven’t even gotten to the resort activities that are steps away … Hike and mountain bike along wooded trails or head up to Sterling Pond for a picnic and fishing at the highest-elevation trout pond in Vermont. Bring your competitive spirit to the basketball, tennis and sand volleyball courts. Or slow the pace with shuffleboard, horseshoes or disc golf on two courses. There are also scenic picnic areas and playgrounds throughout the resort. In winter, you can ski on alpine and nordic trails with three mountains to explore – Morse, Madonna and Sterling–which offer more than 1,000 acres of terrain for skiers and snowboarders. From our condo, you have ski-in/ski-out access as the village lift to Morse Mountain is about 100 yards away. Please note: Some resort activities like lift tickets, water parks, pools, disc golf and winter mountain sports have a fee; see the “Other things to note” section for information about a resort daycation pass which provides access to another tier of seasonal amenities for a flat fee. * See the “Other things to note” section for winter drive time information for Stowe LIVING, DINING & BEDROOM AREA Inside Smugglers’ Hideaway, you may think you’ve stumbled into a cabin in the woods–one with nostalgic touches that feel like home. And while it may not have a ton of square feet, our place is mighty in mountain ambience. A knotty pine wall and stone fireplace cast a lot of warmth upon our living, dining, and bedroom area. Sunlight streams in through sliding glass doors while at night the place is aglow with soft mood lighting. More cabin touches abound: Wood floors are cozied up with striped gray rugs and built-in wood cabinets are there to store your stuff. A plush leather sofa and wood coffee table invite you to kick back with a glass of wine after a day out in the sun or snow. Near the glass doors, play a board game like Monopoly and Bingo or enjoy home-cooked meals at our wooden dining table which seats four. There’s also a wall-mounted TV on a swivel, so you can watch shows and movies from any area. And once it’s time to wind down for bed, you can pick among a king bed, pull-out sofa or bunk beds that accommodate kids under 75 pounds (please note: our studio sleeps up to 4 adults). BALCONY From our balcony, you’ll see trees, gardens below and Morse Mountain in the distance. Relax in a chair with your morning coffee as birds sing and the sun illuminates leafy trees to your left. Or catch the sunset as it swirls across the sky. And look up at night–the star out here are unreal. KITCHEN Back inside, our snug kitchen has everything you’ll need to make a pancake breakfast (when in Vermont!) or your favorite dinner. A refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, blender and coffeemaker are at the ready. Cookware and dishware? Check. And with two kitchen counter stools, you can enjoy a meal for two here. As a bonus, the garden area below our balcony has a charcoal BBQ grill for cookouts and marshmallow roasting. And when you want someone else to do the cooking, restaurants at the resort include Bootleggers' Lounge, Hearth and Candle for fine dining, Morse Mountain Grille for hearty breakfasts and Village Pizzeria for custom pizzas, wings and, of course, A Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream shop. Please check the resort website to see which eateries are open during your stay.
