Our Lakehouse is unique in that it's sits directly on Lake Kai - Beachwalk's beautiful interior Lake. Of the 200+ homes located in "Beach Walk" Resort, less than 20 are on Lake Kai making our home very unique & your vacation memorable. It’s definitely one of the most sought out locations in all of Beachwalk! ** Minimum 30 years of age to book ** ** Maximum capacity is 8 Adults and 8 Children ** This is the newest Lake home rental in Beachwalk Resort. Located right on Lake Kai. This home is perfect for multi family or large family stays. This house has 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms located on 3 floors. What stands out in this house is the main floor. It’s an open concept design that includes 20 foot cathedral ceiling and has floor to ceiling windows. Which means tons of light and an incredible view of Lake Kai from every corner. This main room is perfect for family gatherings, especially with a gas fireplace in the living room, TV and of course....a fully stocked kitchen. The indoor dining table seats 6, plus another 6 person dining room table outside on the covered deck. Not to mention, 4 more additional seating at the kitchen Island 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, Sleeps 16 ( 8 adults in 4 separate bedrooms ) - 4 bunk beds located in 2 separate bedrooms - sleeps 8 kids Maximum Capacity: 8 Adults & 8 kids. A total of 16. - If it is determined that more than 16 were in the home. The $500 deposit will not be returned. So, please be honest. First Floor: The main floor has 3 of the 6 bedrooms. A Master bedroom with a King bed and en-suite bathroom. The other 2 rooms have Queen size beds. The main floor has another full size bathroom that has access to the main living area. First Floor Deck: The main floor has has an outdoor screened in Porch with Outdoor Patio Furniture Set ( Wicker Rattan Sectional ) and an outdoor dining table that seats 8 people 2nd Floor: The- upstairs has 2 Bedrooms ( a Large room with a King size bed that includes a sitting area - perfect for families with a baby needing space for a Pack-N-Play ) and 1 full size bathroom. The upstairs also has the 1st of 2 Kids rooms. This Kids room has a set of 2 bunk beds and is perfect for little ones that need to be supervised :) Last but not least, the upstairs also features a sitting nook and kids play area with unobstructed views of Lake Kia. Perfect for getting lost in your favorite book and away from the crowd. Downstairs: The Downstairs has the 2nd kids room with 3 bunk beds. This room is designed for older kids and/or teens to have their own space. The downstairs also has another large sitting area, that includes a large 65 inch Flat screen TV, and a Bar for entertaining the Adults. There is also another dining table with seating up to 10 people downstairs. Also downstairs, is an indoor Fooseball Table and a Brand New 9 foot Shuffleboard game. **** However, due to scratches on the first rental and the entire Shufflebroad power spilled all over the basement - this game is for ADULTS ONLY **** **** To have access to the Shufflebroad game, please have an adult call us and we will provide information on where the game pieces are located **** Adult bedrooms: All 4 adult bedroom are equipped with their own Amazon Echo Dot for music, etc; As well as your own “sound machine” to help with sleep Outdoors: However, the best feature of the downstairs is the Walk-out double doors to a back patio and directly to Lake Kai. The outside area includes a fenced in stoned patio with 8 Adirondack chairs , another outdoor dining table with seating for 6, gas fire pit. Under the deck, there is another Outdoor Patio Furniture Set, Wicker Rattan Sectional Outdoor Shower: Along side of the house is an outdoor spray area to rinse off the sand before going inside. It’s a shower head with Hot and Cold water. HOT TUB: Our newest addition is an outdoor 6 person Hot Tub. Available ONLY during the the "off season" months - October 1st thru April 30th. to relax and enjoy the cold weather. The Hot Tub is NOT available during summers months of May, June, July, August and September. This Hot Tub will be drained and locked during this time. it's Beach time... not Hot TUB Weather. CLEANING: We have implemented Airbnb/VRBO'S new 5 step cleaning protocols, these cleaning protocols based on CDC guidance and in consultation with experts in the fields of sanitization and medicine. *** POTENTIAL - Extra Cleaning Fee *** 2 days prior to your check out date, we will send you an email with a "check-out check list." This is to assist you in preparing the home for your departure. Due to our home having been previously left in extremely poor and dirty condition, our cleaners will charge us another $250 to have it properly cleaned and prepared for our next guests. So if your party is the type that just comes in and leaves without doing anything - then Costa del Sol is simply not for your group. Please understand, this is "our" home and we except you to treat it as if it were "your" home during your stay. We are sharing this experience with you and your group, and expect that you take care of our home. So, if the home is left in complete disarray, such that our cleaners charge us another $250 to clean. Then this extra charge will be passed on to your party and will be taken from your deposit. So please, clean up after yourselves and remember... you are responsible for your entire group and lastly - Please, please supervise your children. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES: During Peak Season: ( May 15th thru September 30th ) Check-in time is 4pm Check-out time is 10am. This leaves exactly 6 hours for our cleaners to clean, sanitize and prepare for our next guest. For this reason, our cleaners will arrive promptly at 10am. They have their own code AND will enter at 10am. So please be considerate and respectful. This is a very important job and we appreciate your attention to this. NON - Peak Season: ( October 1th thru May 14th ) Check-in time is 4pm Check- out time is 10am - However based on reservations, we are can be more flexible ★ AMENITIES: Our cleaning service provides start-up supplies including: paper towels, dish soap, dish washer soap, kitchen trash can liners, toilet paper, hand soap and bathroom trash liners. 1 gas tank for the BBQ and 1 gas tank for the firepit. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional items when the initial supply runs out. The entire home, all 3 floors are open and available to our guests EXCEPT for 2 rooms that are marked as "Owners Closet" and "Mechanical Room" We are NOT affiliated with the Beachwalk Resort Management office. Our home includes 3 parking spots that are available on the property. for additional cars, Beachwalk has 2 over flow parking lots are available for $5 per car. The are 2 trains that that provides service to Michigan City from Chicago. Chicago's South Shore and Amtrak - both Train line runs from the Chicago Loop to Michigan City. However, the closest stop to The Beachwalk Resort is the South Shore Line and the stop is called the Carroll Street Stop. it's approx. 1.5 miles from the Resort. $6.00 Uber ride BEACHWALK RESORT POLICIES: WRISTBANDS: During the Summer Peak Season, ( May 15th thru September 30th ) All Beachwalk Guests, 4 years of age and order - MUST wear a wristband at all times. Beginning the summer of 2021, Beachwalk will be employing a new Security Company that will be enforcing the Wristband policy. Should a guest be found without a wristband, the Homeowner will be fined $1000.00. Any fines will be collected from the Security Deposit. For this reason, it is VERY important that ALL renters wear their wristbands For week long rentals ONLY *** 10 wristbands and 3 parking passes are included FREE with your 7 night reservations during the Summer Peak Season. If your party contains more than 10 guests or will have more than 3 cars. Additional wrist bands and parking passes NEED to be purchased for an additional $20.00 per band and $10 per parking pass prior to arrival thru the owner. A receipt will be email to you and pick occurs at the Pool . IF your stay is anything less than 7 nights ( during peak season ) wristbands and parking passes need to be bought - Al Cart and before of your stay thru the owner. A receipt will be email to you and pick occurs at the Pool . IMPORTANT: *** The wearing of Wristbands is a strict policy that is being enforced by Beachwalk's new Security team. Beachwalk Resort will Fine Costa del Sol $1000.00 for Wristband Fraud by our renters. Again, This will be taken from the Security Deposit. So please, please always wear your wristbands. *** PARKING PASSES: 3 Parking Passes are included FREE with any reservation. The parking spots located in the driveway and in front of the Lakehouse. Additional cars need to park in the Overflow parking lots and also require Parking passes. These additional Parking Passes can also be bought at the pool for $5.00 per pass. Parking is very difficult during the summer months and is strictly enforced. There is an illegal Parking Fee of $100 per incident that covers the following. "No Valid Parking Tag at home and/or the overflow Lots, parked in someone else's space, more than 2 feet on the Street, in fire lanes or in an NO parking areas. DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR FEE: Beachwalk's Security team will be enforcing this rule. They are essentially looking for large parties, drunken behavior, etc This fee is $500 per incident. Collection of Violations: All of the above violations are charged directly to the Lakehouse. As the Home Owners, they are collected via our association dues. So, if the home is charged $1000 for wristband fraud, $500 for a party or any disruptive behavior, or for parking violations. this account will be held from your Security Deposit. Arrival: One the day of your arrival, their will be Folder/Package on the Kitchen Island that will contain your 10 Free Wristbands, your 3 free parking passes and additional information on the house. Amenities located Outside Beachwalk Resort: The main draw is access to Lake Michigan and Sheridan Beach. However, there is MUCH, MUCH more to see and do than just play at the beach. Walk 15 minutes from the resort, and you will find Washington Park with multiple playgrounds and a splash pad for the kids. The Park also has an outdoor amphitheater with live concerts for the family during the summer. There is also the Michigan City ZOO. The zoo exhibits more than 220 animals of 90 species originating throughout the world, including tigers and grizzly bears Don't feel like cooking, there are lots of restaurants and cafes within 3 miles - including a fantastic Steak house at the Blue Chip Casino. There is also the Lighthouse Premier Outlet Mall and Art District both located in Michigan City's downtown - a 5 minute drive from the resort. The entire Michiana area is a huge draw for people that want to visit the Casino, go Wine Tasting, Antiquing, or hit the local Beer breweries.
