Come stay at our cozy studio apartment located on the shores of Lake Onalaska. Our listing includes a private screen porch overlooking the lake. Inside the studio you will find a comfortable seating area with two loveseats and a flat screen TV with a Roku for streaming channels. The studio has a queen sized bed and is equipped with a kitchen offering a full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker. Private bathroom includes an easy step in shower. Guests will need to be able to walk up and down stairs in order to get to the studio. **During these unprecedented times of Covid-19, we are taking all additional steps as outlined by the state of Wisconsin to make sure our studio is not only cleaned but also sanitized properly before each guest arrives. ** Guests have shared access to the lake, dock and grassy area in front of the studio. Hosts are a text or phone call away to assist with answering questions or helping out as needed. Northshore Studio is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood and is on a property with several other vacation rentals. The studio is across the street from paved hiking and biking trails that lead to the Fish and Wildlife Services Visitor Center. It is also approximately 1.5 miles from the Great River State Bike Trail. Lake Onalaska is right out your front door. You will need a vehicle to access the studio but you could arrive via Uber, boat or bike. Two sit on top kayaks included with studio rental. Bikes available on request. A note about Lake Onalaska: Lake Onalaska is part of a natural wildlife refuge and as such the lake conditions vary with the seasons. We believe it is equally beautiful year round but it is definitely different depending on the time of year. Year round the lake is a peaceful escape with beautiful sunsets where wildlife abounds. In the Spring the view is spectacular. As summer approaches the natural vegetation including wild rice becomes prominent. Because of this the lake doesn’t lend itself well to swimming from the shore. We do provide kayaks and a canoe that allows you to get out into lake where you may enjoy time in the water. In the fall the view of the fall leaves on the. Minnesota bluffs is stunning. In winter the lake is especially beautiful and a great place to ice fish.
