Ready for sharing drinks at the island, cooking in the kitchen, coffee at the bar, or lounging on the couch - together is where you’ll be. The kitchen features updated appliances and all of the means to prepare anything from pb&js to thanksgiving dinner. Caffeine fix? Covered at the coffee bar with a single serve Keurig, standard coffee pot, or teapot. Larger than it looks! Horseshoe hideaway features an additional centrally heated year round common space on the enclosed back porch. Extra seating and fun features make this the perfect hangout or spot to unwind after a day on the lake, trails, or slopes. Bedroom #1 - the crane room This bedroom features a queen bed, dancing crane wallpaper, large dresser, closet, and floor length mirror. Bedroom #2 - the bunk room The bunk room includes, you guessed it, bunk beds! But don’t be fooled - this room is not just for kids. One twin over twin and one full over full bunks allow this room to accommodate your groups needs. Also included is a dresser, closet, and full length mirror. Bedroom #3 - the blue en-suite A true master suite, this room includes a queen bed, large closet, dresser, and spacious full bath. Bathrooms Two full masterfully renovated bathrooms both with large showers. Laundry room Guests are free to utilize the washer and dryer in the laundry room accessible off of the porch or through the master bedroom. Outdoor areas Our namesake horseshoe driveway encircles the fire pit area surrounded by Adirondack chairs and bistro lights, perfect for making s’mores and memories. Hot tub - set up on back deck behind the house. Chemicals will be set when you check in. Please note, same day turnovers can result in hot tub still heating up upon checkin. We recommend checking the temp at arrival and keeping cover closed while it is heating up. Additional hangout space and seating on the large back deck. Guest access Guests can access the house from the main front door or back porch door via keypad locked doors. Guests will have access to the entire house except for any locked/marked closets. Looking to unplug? This is the perfect getaway to enjoy the peace and quiet, scenery, hike, bike, hang by the fire pit, or snuggle up with a book. More of a go-getter? A short walk or bike, you’ll find the lakefront and Split Rock Resort; a short drive to Jack Frost/Big Boulder mountains, Pocono Raceway, Jim Thorpe ( “the Switzerland of America”), Big Boulder Lake, Hickory Run State Park, along with local bars/restaurants and more. The property offers private parking in the driveway for 4 cars. At this time we are NOT allowing fires in the indoor fireplace as we prepare to convert to a gas fireplace. Please be sure to enjoy the fire pit out front! It was with a lot of thought into function and cleanliness that we decided not to reinstall bathtubs in the new bathrooms. If you have little ones (like us!) please note this & plan ahead. Minimum booking age - 25 With each stay we will include a ‘starter set’ of toilet paper (2), paper towels (1), dish detergent pods (2), laundry pods (2), one hand soap, and a few k-cups. You will also find various amenities throughout the house, noise machine, bluetooth speaker, high chair, pack and play, games, and more. Same day change over may result in hot tub still heating up upon checkin. Recommend keeping lid closed while heating up and making sure temp is set at 100.
