This cabin offers a separate bathroom and two separate bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a set of bunk beds). The common space has a sleeper couch with a full size pullout mattress, a kitchenette with a two range burner, refrigerator, microwave, and dining table. It is also 4 miles from the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. The deluxe (6 person) cabins are 3 room cabins that include: A master bedroom with a queen bed A second bedroom with a set of bunk beds Common area with kitchenette, 4-cup coffee maker, dining table for 4, and a pullout couch with a full size mattress Heat/A/C Bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower We like to give you your privacy however there is a campground manager available onsite and we are only a phone call away should you need anything at all. This is one of the most beautiful spots in all of Harpers Ferry. It is set on a deep water section of the Potomac River. Feel free to bring your smaller power boat or rent a canoe, kayak, stand up paddle board or tube from River Riders onsite. Guests typically have cars, although it is a 1.5 mile hike or bike from downtown Harpers Ferry along a scenic gravel road. The cabin is located in the Harpers Ferry Campground. It is one of 8 cabins available on that site. The campground is normally very busy during the entire summer and weekends in the spring and fall. The cabin is adjacent to the Harpers Ferry Zipline Canopy Tour which operates during daylight and some evening hours. There are railroad tracks near the campground and trains can be heard outside the cabin although not generally inside the cabins. There is also a one way tunnel where cars sometimes honk there horns. Again this cannot normally be heard inside the cabin. The cabin is portable and has hookups in the campground. There may be periods during extended freezing spells where the water may be limited especially overnight. You will also be asked to limit your water usage to some extent to stay within the wastewater capacity of the storage tanks. There will always be a bathhouse nearby with toilets, sinks, and showers available even during those times. As the cabins are waterfront, there is a possibility for flooding, although it doesn't happen very often. If the reservation has to be cancelled due to flooding, refunds of the purchase price are the only liability provided. All of this is part of the experience of being in such a beautiful, unique waterfront location.
