This tiny log vacation home was previously featured in a local magazine! If you are searching for a place that's off the beaten track, you have found a piece of heaven! This property is located in a quiet area with frequent sightings of wildlife & friendly neighbors tootling around on golf carts at 5:00. Includes 4 KAYAKS!!! The kitchen and living area are all open with wood floors. There is a leather sofa and cowhide ottoman. A new dinette with four stools is the perfect place for family meals, games, or puzzles. It is a small cabin, so use is made of every square inch. The loft has two twin beds. A bedroom with a king size bed, closet, and laundry area was added in 2020. The floor in the addition is stained concrete. There is a sliding glass door in the bedroom. The bathroom has a tankless hot water heater with rustic style fixtures. There is a small covered front porch with two chairs, perfect for morning coffee. In the back of the cabin is a covered area with a gas grill and a new cedar picnic table built by a local craftsman. Just out from there is a small firepit area perfect for making s'mores. We own the wooded area to the east between the cabin & the house next door. The corner is also included with The Little Cabin so if you have kids that like to explore, they are welcome to have fun! Just be aware, there are things that could bite. Use bug spray and watch where you step. My boys always enjoyed getting to have that freedom to explore! There is a water connection on the east side of the cabin for rinsing off a boat or vehicle...or kids LOL! *Please note that all views of the lake in the photographs are not from the property. The entire cabin will be yours along with almost two acres of property for kids to explore. We live next door and will be able to assist with any needs you may have! If you get in the middle of a recipe and have forgotten something or need a special utensil or pan, just ask! We are happy to answer any questions about the area. Just call or text! We are both born and raised in Arkansas, I promise we're friendly and won't bite! LOL! We are located on Sills Peninsula where the Little Red River meets Greers Ferry Lake. The neighborhood has it's own boat launch which takes about a minute to drive to from the cabin and about five minutes to walk to. This neighborhood is a great mix of people! Some are full time residents and some are weekenders. We started out with a small cabin for weekends and have added on and now live here full time. Most people that visit try to figure out how to stay;) Everything is about 15 minutes away. Clinton is one direction and Fairfield Bay is the other. There is a hospital located in Clinton that I can personally vouch for in an emergency and Fairfield Bay has a Marina with many available activities. Your personal vehicle is the best way to get around. However, you are more than welcome to bring your golf cart, bicycle, or utv. If you would like fresh eggs, I sometimes have extra from my chickens. I would love to share! And if you have kids that would like to come over and feed them with me, just let me know. Even my rooster, Earl, eats out of my hand. If you want to swim in the lake, the very best place is the old campground at the end of Burnt Ridge Road. It’s only 5 minutes by car and well worth the trip if the water is at a good level. Just get back on Sills Peninsula and go to the end, turn right on Burnt Ridge and follow it to the end. (Be sure not to park in the way of the boaters.) Walk around to the left of the launch and you’ll find some great areas to swim.
