You’ll love feeling the relaxing energy of peace and calm when you drive down Sewanee Lane and take in the magnificent view of the lake in front of you. You’re now on “lake time” at the perfect spot to restore and refresh which is what we hope happens during your stay at The Sewanee Cottage. You will enter the screened in porch and use a secure keyless entry pad to get into the Cottage. Since we live on the premise we will be available to assist you with your requests or questions and to provide you with recommendations and information to enhance your stay. Our priority is to be considerate of your privacy and we will rely on you to determine the amount of interaction, if any at all, that you are comfortable with. Our 2 well behaved and very cute Pomeranians will be on the premise and we will again follow your lead in regard to how much interaction you want to have with them. One highlight of Sewanee Cottage’s location is it’s close proximity to a locally owned Convenience Store just down the street~it is CONVENIENT indeed! Also, Dreher Island State Park is two miles away. The Sewanee Cottage is located on the Chapin side of Lake Murray in an area called “Crystal Lake” in which much of the shoreline has the natural greenery of trees and grass as opposed to the Lexington side of the lake whose shoreline is predominantly residential. The town of Chapin is only 12 short miles away and will provide you with most anything you could want or need during your stay including a good variety of places to eat. From our location heading away from town there are two fun restaurants less than 15 minutes away. One is Buffalo Creek Bar and Grill which is on the water and has an outside covered deck and the other is newly opened Na’cho Margarita serving Mexican food. PRIVATE BOAT RAMP! If you’re lucky enough to have your own boat there is a private ramp on the property for you to conveniently put it in and dock it at the dock. You’ll have access to both electricity and water. Afterall, a boat and Lake Murray go together like a rod and a reel!
