Our home is within two blocks of the quaint 300 block of North Queen in Downtown Lancaster. This room is on the third floor of our building. A clean & simple bedroom on the third floor (with about 35 stairs to climb). Our home is about a mile away from Franklin & Marshall College, about a 20 minute walk from the train station and about 5 blocks from the center of the city. There is another bedroom next to this room. The second floor of the building has been renovated as well and I have two guest rooms there as well. Guests on both floors may use the restrooms or other common areas on either floor. The first floor is the most recently renovated~ the large kitchen, dining room and living area are open for your use. Also, please note, there is no lock on the bedroom door. We operate with a great deal of trust and have never had a problem. Guests are welcome to use any of the common space (living area, kitchen, front porch). There are three shared full baths in the house, one on each floor. There is laundry on the second floor. I enjoy hosting international, national, local friends, family and you. I've been hosting in my home for years to varying levels. I am often busy, but when I'm around I hope to hear about you and your travels. I love this little city and will gladly give recommendations for food, drink and fun. The neighborhood is mixed - single family homes & apartment buildings. We are a block away from Lancaster General Hospital. And in easy walking distance to all things downtown. There are lots of places to explore within a ten minute walk. We are about a 15 to 20 minute walk from Amtrak station. We are a few blocks from the bus stop. There is no off-street parking, but often there is a parking spot within a block of the house. We are so close to everything that you'll most likely walk everywhere. Check-in is typically after 5 on weekdays. Check-in on weekends is usually after 2. Check out is by 11. Laundry is available for a fee. Towels & sheets are provided.
