Our beloved luxury apartment is one of the nicest places to stay in town. It underwent a ground-up bespoke renovation with white oak hardwood floors, quartz countertops and premium appliances, rivaling a premium suite at a boutique hotel with the added privacy, charm, and amenities of a home for a great price. This is might be a bold statement, but I wouldn't include it here if it wasn't true: You would be hard-pressed to find a nicer or more convenient place (airbnb or hotel) to stay in for twice the cost, anywhere. We offer a selection of (good) complimentary snacks, beverages, tea, and even our own fresh-roasted proprietary whole-bean coffee blend made just for us by Hopscotch Coffee. The beds have comfortable mattresses and incredibly comfortable Sleepgram pillows (and lots of them), fast wifi, and unlimited access to most streaming services including Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Hulu, and Hulu Live TV (to watch any channel/show/game). Each booking comes with a coupon card for two free drinks from Hopscotch Coffee and a card for two free cocktails and 15% off dinner from Cardinal Spirits, both walking distance from the apartment. This is a family owned apartment, specifically designed and built to provide folks visiting our beautiful town with a comfortable and convenient place to stay. We set out to create a clean, stylish, modern, and comfortable space with fine attention to detail, including white oak hardwood floors, quartz countertops, brand new premium appliances, light dimmers, outlets and charging stations next to each bedside, a custom built Murphy Bed that converts to a mid-century modern couch, a separate private "Relaxation Loft" with queen-size bed, two flatscreen TVs, and local art hanging on the walls. We also provide our guests with a complimentary selection of teas, coffee beans, and two free coffee drinks from Hopscotch Coffee (a local roastery within walking distance), as well as two free craft cocktails from Cardinal Spirits, (a local distillery down the road from Hopscotch). The kitchen was built to be used, with everything you need to cook your own meals, including dishes, cutlery, quality pots and pans, cooking oil and spices. We provide fresh towels and washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. We recently made our apartment "pet-friendly" for up to two animals to help accommodate those traveling with their family pets. Please be sure to add your pet(s) to your reservation when checking out. There is an additional $75 Pet Fee added for reservations with pets, and this covers the cost of the deep cleaning required to keep our apartments accessible to guests with severe allergies, and to help offset the additional wear and tear that inevitably comes with pets staying in the apartment (we've lived with multiple cats and dogs our entire lives). We also have some basic rules if you're bringing a pet. We ask that your dog be on a leash when outside, your pets do not go on the furniture, and pets must be crated if left alone in the apartment. This listing is for the East Apartment, which is almost identical to the West Apartment, except in place of a Master Bedroom it has a very unique "Relaxation Loft" which is a 4' tall room (that's right, it's only 4' tall!) with plush carpeting. It has a queen sized platform bed, mood lighting, and a wide screen TV. The room is accessed with a step ladder and can be closed off with a custom accordion door. Watch your head! If this listing is booked on the dates you're interested in, please check out Lil BUB's Really Nice Apartment -WEST, which has a Master Bedroom with a king-size bed instead of the Relaxation Loft. The apartment is located above Russian Recording, a full-service analog and digital recording studio that has produced over 1000 albums since 2003. The apartments were engineered to be sound isolated from the studio to prevent sound from bleeding into the rooms. If you're interested in taking a tour of the studio, please let us know and we'd be happy to show you around if there isn't a session booked during your stay. You may notice that some of the art on the walls features an exceptionally magical cat. That's our cat, her name is Lil BUB (hence the name of the apartment), and she happens to be one of the most famous (and most loved) cats in the world. In addition to being a published author, talk show host, TV and movie star, and a Billboard chart-topping artist, BUB has raised over half a million dollars for homeless pets worldwide. The entire apartment is yours! All communication for the apartment is handled directly by me (Mike) or one of our cleaners (Kyle and Gretchen). Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything or have any questions! The apartment is located on the very southern end of Downtown Bloomington. The Square in the center of downtown is less than a mile away, a straight shot down Walnut St, the road we're located on, and only a 10 minute walk. Bryan Park is only a five minute walk east, and has multiple playgrounds for kids, tennis courts, a running trail, and an amazing swimming pool with water slides. We're also located only one block from the B-Line trail, a beautiful walking/biking trail that was formerly a railroad which extends 3.1 miles from the south side of Bloomington, through downtown and beyond. Cardinal Spirits and Hopscotch Coffee are located along the trail on the way to downtown, and are only a 5 minute walk from the apartment! We are very conveniently located! While you can certainly drive to anywhere in town, we're also located within walking/biking distance of the B-Line Trail, Hopscotch Coffee, Cardinal Spirits and downtown Bloomington. There is also a bus stop directly outside our building if you prefer public transportation. There is parking available in the lot adjacent to the building, and one spot beside the staircase leading up to the apartments. Access to the front door is with a numerical key pad, your check-in instructions after booking will provide you with the access code. If it's dark when checking in, press the "Schlage" logo to illuminate the keypad.
