Stylish, modern one-bedroom, well-appointed apartment on a farm stay at the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula. Enjoy views of our flower fields and interact with our sheep, chickens and turkeys as they forage and graze. The private, newly-renovated Farmhouse Suite is bright & open - its modern rustic design offers a peaceful place to relax in a country setting. It is perfect for your extended vacation or weekend getaway - 20 mins to Port Townsend and 1 hour to the Olympic National Park. OVERVIEW: Our farmhouse suite is open and filled with natural light; it is located on the east wing of our farmhouse. It has its own private entrance as well as a back door that leads out to our gardens and newly-planted food forest. It has wood floors and counter-tops, bright windows and a wood-burning stove. There is a queen bed in a private bedroom that is separated from the living room with a sliding barn door. The modern couch in the living room pulls out into a bed that was designed for comfort (see the image above). The Farmhouse Suite has Starlink internet and a portable mini-projector (which streams Netflix). There is no cable or live TV nor DVD. Outside, we have a quaint cafe-style seating area where you can enjoy meals al-fresco. We have a propane grill setup if you’d like to prepare your own farm-to-table dinner. You can also prepare meals using the induction hot-plate or the microwave in the kitchen. Our farm is located down a long dirt driveway off of the Beaver Valley highway. It is a 5 minute drive to Chimacum where you will find Finnriver Cidery and groceries, and a 20 minute drive to Port Townsend where you will find more dining and shops. The Farmhouse Suite looks out over our farm -- we do not use chemicals on our land or with our animals. We practice regenerative and organic agriculture -- this means that our sheep, chickens, turkey, annual flowers/vegetables and perennial fruit and forage crops are intentionally planned and raised to ensure that our farm ecosystem and animals remain fed, strong and resilient. It is not its own stand-alone building. 2. We are not in a remote area that is completely silent - we are a real working farm in a happening place. If you are seeking somewhere remote without noise, projects or people coming and going, our site is sadly not for you. This is just the reality of our situation and we want to make sure our guests know what to expect. You will most likely see us, our land mates or visitors during your stay. 3. White Lotus Farm hosts events in our barn and we are a venue. This includes private weddings and community events that are open to the public. We do not host AirBnB guests during private weddings, but the suite is open for booking when we have public events. These public events are held for the community. We inform our guests prior to booking if your stay overlaps with such an event via messaging. Firepit, gardens, orchard, farm paddocks. Laundry upon request. In most cases, we are available to meet you at the time of check-in to answer any questions that you may have about the suite, the farm or the area -- you can call or text us after arriving if this sounds like something you are interested in. The suite has a coded lock for self-check in so you can get settled in at your own pace and privacy. We live in the farmhouse attached to the Farmhouse Suite (through a shared laundry room) so we are easily available if you have any questions or if you are interested in learning about current farm projects or local happenings. The guest book in your room will also have details when you arrive. Guests have access to the entire Farmhouse Suite, outdoor grill and firepit, and the laundry room when available. The farm's gardens and paddocks are available for walking -- please be aware that we have electric fencing in some areas, and to close any gates that you open. The Farmhouse Suite is a comfortable space with modern amenities available. However, you WILL hear the sights and sounds of a working farm during your stay! We are a bustling business - we have land mates that live with us and we do host other visitors on the property frequently so you will see and hear people out and about during your stay. Please expect this when staying with us as it is just the reality of our situation. We also live off a busy road and there is road noise -- the trade-off for being that we are easily accessible. Lastly, we are a venue space for both private and public events. If your stay overlaps with a public event held at the barn, we will let you know via messaging. We try to keep the paths along our farm mown regularly but the pasture can be moist depending on the weather -- because of this, we advise bringing rubber boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Checkout is at 10:00AM. If we do not have guests arriving the day of your departure, we are happy to give you more time. If you are interested in checking out at a later time, just let us know.
