The surrounding area of Buncombe Creek is a lively lake community and marina that is easily accessed whenever you're ready to emerge from the quiet solitude of this wonderful wooded escape. NEAREST PUBLIC USE AREA ON THE LAKE: It's a little over 3 miles from the property to Buncombe Creek Marina on Lake Texoma. Go South on Shay Rd and follow it all the way down until it curves off to the right and eventually stops at the lake where you'll see Arrow Head Public Use Area and Buncombe Creek Marina. The folks at the dock can point you to a perfect spot for fishing. TAYLOR ISLAND VIEW: Easily one of the best sandy beaches on Lake Texoma is just 15 minutes from the property. You won't find this spot on the map. Instead, lookup "Taylor Island View Rd" and follow that east until it finally curves up into the lakeside community that overlooks this amazing beach spot offered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. OAKVIEW BEACH AREA: Close to Taylor Island View is another spot for sandy beaches, the Oakview area, a little over 7 miles from this property. Take Shay Rd south to Little Rd and over to Enos Rd. Go south on Enos and turn left on Snell Rd, then follow the curve to the right onto Lark Rd. Go South on Lark Rd and turn left onto Oakview Rd. You can follow Oakview Rd road all the way back into the lake community there and down Kingston Rd to the beach.
