We are happy to share our vacation home, which isn't corporate owned or a hotel. Quiet 3 bedroom within a 5min walk to downtown restaurants, coffee, breweries, and shops. There are 2 full baths, dining room with seating for 6, living room (w/fireplace, board games, record player, & a beautiful view of the mountains w/o blinds), fully stocked kitchen (microwave, oven/stove, coffee maker, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, prep utensils). Previous reviews may speak to previous amenities (which were quite dated!). Our bathrooms and laundry room are not yet updated, so expect to find some loving wear, quaint aging, and charming patina. We are happy to share our vacation home with you. This isn't corporate owned, and is a home which we care for as our living space. This is not a hotel, rather it is our home. Current amenities include: fireplace, wifi, washer and dryer, front deck, cable tv (w/HBO, showtime, Cinemax), parking, electric baseboard heat, refrigerator, microwave, oven and range, and working fireplace. 80 feet from the parking lot. We provide all of the necessities but don't provide firewood, coal, or other kitchen consumables. We may have some leftover from other occasions, and you're welcome to use those during your stay. Please don't use bleach, peroxide, or any other staining/bleaching ingredients on our linens or surfaces; be aware that any damage will incur replacement costs. Entire home (except one side of the cabinet under the coffee area which is locked). Feel free to message us via Airbnb at any time. Communication via the site/app hits both Kelly and Nick, so whoever is available first can respond. Please be in touch if you find any aspect of your stay is <5 stars so we can work to fix the issue. We will do our best to help you have a great stay in LP! We are 5 mins from downtown Lake Placid, with an amazing view of Mirror Lake as you round the corner coming from our place towards the main street. If possible, we advise you walk downtown rather than drive since parking can be hard to come by. In town there are many local shops and restaurants to explore. Most are local shops, but there are some chain standbys as well (Starbucks, EMS). message us if you want any tips, we are happy to share! Plenty of shops, restaurants, water vehicle rentals, and leisure activities within walking distance. Shuttles to Whiteface mountain skiing stop across the street. Our place can be hard to find (it is on a side street off a main thoroughfare) so please review our Check-in message and photos from G**gle maps in the Airbnb Check in instructions. The walkway between the parking lot and our unit is ~80' long. We don't supply firewood or charcoal, though there may be some available which you're free to use if it is there.
