Our lovingly restored vintage motor lodge has been hosting Finger Lakes vacationers & travelers for more than 100 years. Rooms have been thoughtfully restored with period fixtures & modern amenities. Please read on about the space and review all of the information in this listing to ensure the Grayhaven Motel is the right fit for you and your group. We look forward to hosting you! The design of these 1940’s cottages is said to have been based on that of buildings located at the military school in West Point, NY. Each cottage is akin to a tiny house and boasts a full kitchen and small living room with a reading chair, ottoman, and a day bed that may accommodate a child. Each have a private queen bedroom, small bathroom with a toilet and sink, separate walk-in shower, full kitchen, small living room with a day bed. Air conditioning, natural bath products, and complimentary Wifi provided. Dog friendly. Cottages offer central heat + air conditioning, natural bath products, made in USA towels and linens, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, extra pillows, blankets, towels, air conditioning and complimentary Wifi. You’ll also find a record player, bird books, and a deck of cards. Come take a walk, play a game, read a book, unplug and relax. There is a television with Amazon TV Prime, and a firestick for you to log into your own Netflix, HBO, HULU, ESPN, etc. accounts. There is NOT traditional cable. We are an old school motel experience with ground level rooms that have doors directly to the outside. In the winter cozy up to the wood burning stove in our guest lounge, or take a winter walk on one of our trails. In the summer make use of all 11 acres, lawn games, and our outdoor grills and fire pits. Drive down the road to one of many amazing State Parks, restaurants, wineries, or museums. Wildlife mostly keeps to the back 9-acres, but occasionally you’ll find a toad out for an evening stroll, a chipmunk scurrying across the yard, an errant grasshopper or cricket trying to make their way in your room, or a snake sunning it’s self in the driveway. They were here first after all. Read more about our stunning Inlet Valley location. Beer, wine, coffee, soft drinks and snacks are available year round from our reception desk / bar in the Main House. Text an order to your room or stop by in person during office hours. **Please note that indoor common areas, including our bar and guest lounge, are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. Wine, beer and snacks can be added through the booking form and will be waiting in your room at check in. Orders can also be easily placed for contactless delivery throughout your stay. We appreciate your understanding as we do our very best to provide a safe stay for all guests. Please see CoV-19 Response for more information. Dog friendly room. View our policies on cancellations, kids, pets, and groups HERE. From July 4th through Labor Day weekend the minimum stay requirement is three nights, all other seasons the minimum stay requirement is two nights. On the occasion that a single night becomes available it is opened for booking online. Feel free to reach out as dates approach if you are looking for something specific. Guests have all hours access to their rooms and can park directly in the front of their door. Morning coffee, tea and cocoa are available in the office from 8am - 10am daily. We have games available for check out, and loads of information about area attractions. C’mon over. Come see us in the office, stop in for some coffee or give us a call during office hours if you need something. Need to check in late, have lots of work to do and can't be bothered to socialize? No worries. Conveniently located on Elmira Rd, with easy access to excellent restaurants and Finger Lakes area attractions. Elmira Rd./Rt. 13 is a main thoroughfare. We are right between Buttermilk Falls and Treman State parks, and a quick 3 miles by car or bike to the Ithaca Commons and State Theater. Cornell Campus and Ithaca College are both 4 miles door to door. Park at your door, lounge on our lawns, bring your dog and your family, relax. From Grayhaven Motel riders may flag TCAT bus 67 inbound to Ithaca city center or Cornell Univeristy. Our Elmira Rd. locations mean that we're super convenient to State Parks, downtown Ithaca, wineries, etc. It also means that in some of our rooms you may hear cars going by at 35-45 mph. Most folks aren't bothered by this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a sensitivity to road noise. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Advance notice is required and dogs must be crated if they are left unattended in the room. Our pet fee is $50. Please let us know if your dog will be joining you and we will email a link to our pet policies.
