The cabin is...light interior, modestly spacious, small closet, antique furniture, full size bed, beautiful view of the mountain-side. The space around is...naturesque-farm-like, rustic. Seconds away from the hot springs! Set in a rustic farm-like environment, The Bird Cabin is one of the four 1920's built mining cabins on the the Petrun Family property. Located on a gorgeous mountain side, a rushing river, and a peaceful property. A kitchen with a coffee pot, mini-fridge, toaster, and griddle is available for guest use. A self serve breakfast of waffles, eggs, fruit and Coffee & Tea from 8-10am. There is a community fire-pit and open fire grill located in the central grounds of the yard. A shared plumed unisex bathroom with hot water, a shower, and one toilet and sink is available for all guest use and is located 40 ft. away from the cabin. Guests have 40+ acres of hiking on the property and beyond. River access. Hosts may or may not be on the property at any time during your stay guests are subject to self-check ins that will be directed before guests arrival. Usually there is a host here through out the grater parts of the day. One host lives on property. Other campgrounds, mountain-side, train town. tourist friendly. Lots of hiking. Parking is available for about one car per guest here on the property within 100 feet or less from your cabin. We are 0.02 miles from downtown Lava Hot Springs, and there is a walking path. Its a two hour drive to Yosemite, Jackson hole, and Salt Lake City. We are 18 miles from Big Springs National forest and camping as well.
